THE SOUND: THE MARCHES

Hailing from Glasgow, Paisley, and Ayrshire, The Marches are a powerhouse all-female four-piece redefining the Scottish pop-rock scene. Formed in late 2023, the band has rapidly ascended from local DIY stages to headlining legendary venues like King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and lighting up the festival circuit at Belladrum and the Pavilion Festival.

The Sound & Influence

The Marches blend infectious, guitar-driven pop-rock with intricate multi-part vocal harmonies. Their sound is often described as "timeless yet fresh," drawing comparisons to the atmospheric storytelling of The Cranberries, the melodic grit of Fleetwood Mac, and the punchy energy of The Bangles.

Their lyrics are unapologetically honest, often tackling themes of gender equality, personal growth, and the complexities of relationships—most notably heard in their breakout tracks like "Talking Too Much" and the double A-side release "November / Don’t Fool Me Twice."
